Hoya HRT CIR-PL UV is a special filter type that uses High-Rate Transparency (HRT) polarising film. It transmits as much as 25% more light, while maintaing the same polarising qualities as standard polarising filters. Hoya HRT CIR-PL UV has extraordinary features absorbing UV rays and does not require any additional UV filters. For these reasons, it is a perfect combination of polarising and UV filters.
Polarising filters in colour photography are the only way of getting rich blue skies and clear white banks of clouds. They addditionaly reduce tiny light reflections on leaves and grass, ensuring deep, "lush" greenness. It is also possible to eliminate unwanted light reflections from non-metallic surfaces and photograph objects behind the glass or under the water. The filter's strength is adjusted through a ring which can be rotated to change the polarisation angle.
